The Le Creuset Gourmet shallow cast iron casserole has a 30 cm diameter and 3.5 l capacity for searing, braising, roasting and baking. This cerise version combines a wide, flat shape and low sides with a tight-fitting lid to help retain moisture.
Heat retention and versatile cooking
Enamelled cast iron distributes and stores heat evenly, helping maintain a stable cooking temperature and supporting caramelisation of meat and vegetables. Low to medium heat is recommended for cooking.
- Hob and oven use: suitable for electric, gas, ceramic and induction hobs, as well as the oven grill function.
- Temperature range: from -23 °C to 260 °C, including freezer use.
- Handling: large ergonomic handles accommodate oven gloves; the lid knob is heat-resistant up to 260 °C.
- Cleaning: the enamelled interior makes cleaning easier, but the casserole is not dishwasher-safe.
