Air bubbles from the ground, through the neck, get inside the ball and, being lighter than water, rise up. In this way, the water is pushed out of the ball and irrigates the ground, in which the air-filled spaces disappear. Another portion of water will be released when the soil dries out again.

The waterer is suitable for potted plants, indoor plants, terraces, hanging baskets, desk pots, hanging and garden plants.
